Alpine Lifestyle Partners (ALP) has been established in Switzerland for 14 years developing real estate projects for tourism. ALP focusses on second residences for rental and hotel style developments in the canton of Valais; creating and implementing new concepts for tourism in close cooperation with local bodies. Their aim is to maintain and boost tourism in the area; an integral part of the local economy.
ALP Managing Partner, Ray Pritchard is a long-time supporter of the Welsh Alpine Champs and takes the opportunity to race in the event each year. Ray, who is originally from North Wales started ski racing late in life (in his late 30s) and loves the buzz of the Welsh Champs for participating in competitive skiing, often giving some of the young racers a run for their money!
ALP has been a proud sponsor of the Welsh ski team since 2004 and has been integral to bringing the Welsh Champs to Champéry/Les Crosets where it has been held for the past 10 years. When talking about the Champs, Ray said, “I’m eager to see the strong development of Welsh Alpine athletes, I really enjoy seeing the progression of returning athletes as well as new racers attend the event each year. ALP annually awards the Golden Cow Bell to the Welsh athlete who we believes shows the most potential for Olympic podium success as well as the best attitude towards racing.”
