52 parents, volunteers and of course children (with three new families) all enjoyed the weekend. It was a busy time as always with nonstop skiing – well except for coffee breaks and lunch. All the staff at the slope helped, and everyone was very grateful for their assistance with the sitskis - 11 or 12 were going constantly – Diolch!
There was the traditional visit to the beach after skiing on Saturday with a few brave souls dipping their toes in - the children did not seem to feel the cold so much! Ice cream and refreshments were in order before a hasty retreat back to camp for dinner and the evening get together - traditionally a late night event but most were pretty exhausted after the busy day.
Sunday morning is usually quiet but there is always an exception to the rule and we started where we left off on Saturday with everyone skiing with great enthusiasm and all enjoying the cakes and treats left over from the Saturday night, although everyone did manage to save some room for the great Sunday Lunch provided at the camp.
Everyone enjoyed the weekend, both old hands who have been with ICK for their whole 10 years and new families who had never been before. We all left tired and smiling looking forward to next time!
