Welsh World Cup Appearances

December 16, 2016

Hopefully, most followers of Snowsport Cymru Wales news will know of Menna Fitzpatrick’s success on the Visually Impaired World Cup scene. And whilst Menna is recovering from breaking her hand in high speed training December has scene a number of other Welsh athletes stepping up to the World Cup.

Bangor Snowboardcross athlete Maisie Potter competed in her debut World Cup boardercross event last week in Austria.

Maisie earned her place at this level after a 17th place in Europa Cup and a podium 3rd in an international FIS junior event earlier in December.

Pontypridd’s Chris Lloyd is racing 16-19th December in the IPCAS World Cup in the mens standing races.  Chris recently placed an impressive 5th at European Cup races in Austria.

Finally Tara Parks from North Wales kicked off her 2017 racing season with a 9th place in World Cup in Telemark racing.

We anticipate Menna getting back to competition in the next few weeks where we look forward to another trawl of World Cup medals. Go Wales!
