Welsh Alpine Championships

Welsh Alpine Championships 2017 - Starting another 10 years in Champery

21-28th January 2017

Welsh Alpine Championships.pngSnowsport Cymru Wales is delighted to confirm that the 11th Anniversary of the Welsh Alpine Championships will be held in Champery, Switzerland from the 21st-28th January 2017.

The Championships consist of four days of competition with training facilities made available to clubs in resort in the build up to the championships.  The first two days of competition are FIS-CIT International events, these are for competitors holding FIS international race licences with their national governing body (British Ski & Snowboard in the case of GB competitors) and only competitors in the U18 category or older are eligible to participate in FIS races. The last two days of competition are designated as our Welsh Alpine Championship days, these races are eligible for competitors registered with their home nation (or holding international licences for non GB competitors).  Competitors in these races will fall into two main categories U10/U12 and U14 and older as specific races are run to suit the ages of the competitors.
