Ski Coaching and Instruction

Become a Ski instructor or team coach

Many skiers enjoy the sport so much that they can’t resist trying to persuade others to take up the sport, very often getting involved in teaching. Teaching people to ski is very rewarding and helps to improve your performance as well. Centres are always looking out for instructors and are keen to assist their development.

Snowsport Wales manages and delivers The United Kingdom Snowsport Coach Awards Scheme in Wales and as such provides a training and qualification programme for aspiring Instructors and Coaches wishing to work with skiers throughout the UK through Clubs, Ski Facilities and upon an individual basis. The courses are well recognised throughout Great Britain.

Starting up in the Coach Awards Scheme involves firstly registering with the Snowsport Wales Coaching Scheme: Join Online - Click here. The next step is to book onto a Level 1 Training Course and begin your training programme. The minimum age to be able to embark upon the Coach Awards Scheme is 16 years old.
